The former seventh picked rookie Jonathan Cooper hopes to revive his career in New England Patriots after having spent his three disappointing seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. His training camp with the Patriots hit an early snag in the road though.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the offensive lineman was carted off the field by an electromobility on Saturday because of his leg injury. Ian Rapoport added that Cooper has been currently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and will be off his feet for a bit, per a source.
The first-round pick in 2013, Cooper broke his leg in the preseason, derailing his rookie campaign. He was one of two pieces dealt with the Patriots in the Chandler Jones trade.
Cooper are competing for the starting position on the right side of the offensive line, so this could be a blow to Cooper who hopes to make the most of his second chance.
